Streetfishing is a fast and direct way to target predators. You fish quay walls, bridges, locks, docks, pontoons, park ponds and canal edges. Space is limited, depth changes quickly and productive spots can be small. Tungsten is ideal here because it is compact, hard and gives clear feedback through the rod.

Why tungsten helps in the city
Urban predators often hold close to structure: a ledge, stair, bridge pillar, moored boat or transition from stone to silt. You need to know exactly where your lure is. Tungsten gives a sharper tap on hard bottom and helps separate subtle bites from rock, concrete or weed.
Read the spot before casting
Look at current, shade, depth, wind and visible structure. A bridge gives shade and often hard bottom. A bend in a canal can gather flow and baitfish. A quay wall creates a vertical edge. Fish every spot in layers: first under your feet, then the edge, then the deeper transition and only after that the middle.
Jighead for searching
A tungsten jighead is a strong starting point when you want to locate fish. Cast along the wall, let the bait sink and fish small hops or short lifts. On hard bottom you feel sharp taps. On soft bottom everything feels duller. This builds a map of the spot in your head.

Dropshot for vertical edges
Dropshot is perfect around bridge pillars, quay walls and pontoons. With a tungsten dropshot weight you can feel when the weight is on stone and keep a small softbait almost in place.
